FAQs

Ready to make it official? Here’s what you need to know.

How to book your wedding ceremony with me.

First things first, check if I’m available for your wedding date. If I am, we’ll schedule a free 30-minute discovery call (online or by phone). This is a relaxed chat where we explore the style of ceremony you’re dreaming of, share ideas, and get to know each other. It’s the perfect way to see if I’m the right marriage celebrant for you.

If you’re ready to book, I’ll guide you through each step so everything feels simple and stress-free:

  • Read my Service Agreement so you know exactly what I promise to deliver.

  • When you’re happy to lock it in, I’ll send you the Booking Form and your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) to complete.

  • Pay the non-refundable booking fee to secure your date — then I’m officially committed to your day!

  • We meet to complete or sign the NOIM and begin your ceremony planning, including gathering the details for your unique love story.

  • I’ll share ideas for every part of the ceremony — heartfelt, fun, modern, traditional, or a mix. I always tune in to your style, bringing professionalism, creativity, and calm energy to keep things easy and enjoyable.

  • You’ll receive your Ceremony Planning Questionnaire plus the Get-To-Know-You couple’s questionnaire.

  • From here, I’m all set to create a ceremony that’s personal, meaningful, and completely you.

Next comes the fun part, the collaboration. We meet in person or online and shape your ceremony together. I like to finalise your script about one month before your wedding. We finish with an online run-through or rehearsal.

And then? You get a ceremony that feels just right,  warm, engaging, and memorable for your guests. I’ve got you every step of the way.

What legal paperwork do I need know about?

  1. There are two legal documents we need to complete before I marry you. Firstly, the  Notice of Intended Marriage needs to be filled out and received by your Celebrant at least one calendar month to 18 months prior to your marriage. Either one of us can supply this form.

  2. Just before your wedding, mostly likely at the rehearsal, we need to complete the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage. This is declaring you are legally allowed to get married, according to law in Australia and you don't have a spouse hidden in another part of the world. I'll provide this form.

  3. During your ceremony there are 3 official documents. The Commemorative Marriage Certificate which you keep,  and two identical Offical Certificate of Marriage, one I retain and the third Copy goes to Births, Deaths and Marriages. After the wedding I lodge your documents with Births Deaths and Marriages to register your marriage within 48 hours, and about a week later, you receive your official Marriage Certificate. Go and book your first dinner reservation as Mr & Mrs/ Mr & Mr/Ms & Ms.

What documents do we need?

I need to see your photo ID, either Passport or Drivers License. Your Passport will also show proof of your date and place of birth too. If showing me your Drivers License, bring your registered Birth Certificate for proof of date and place of birth and also handy to check parents names. If you have been previously married you will need to provide evidence of how your last marriage legally end. You will need to provide a death certificate or certificate of divorce, decree absolute or nullity.

Do you travel?

I love nothing better. I live in Wollongong and travel around the Illawarra, the Southern Highlands, South Coast NSW and surrounding areas. If I need to travel outside the kilometre radius stated for each ceremony, I charge an extra fee. I'm a regular visitor to Jindabyne throughout the year and I'm more than happy to be booked as your Celebrant during summer, autumn, winter. I'm happy to negotiate a price to travel and connect your ceremony into a short holiday with family and friends.

What are your terms and conditions?

I have a Service Agreement to view here. It will cover such things as my refund policy, late fees, alternative arrangements if I lose my voice or suddenly unavailable, requirements, equipment supplied, insurance coverage and more. Make sure you understand all the terms and conditions before going ahead with your booking.

What will you be wearing?

Well that all depends on the style of your wedding. I check in with you on the colour palette and go from there. From formal to floral, neutral solid colours to glittery ball gown to tuxedo wearing stilt-walker, I love to dress for the occasion. Sometimes couples scroll through my instagram, and select from there :))
