What I do as your wedding MC?

I help couples enjoy their reception with confidence, without the worry of managing the running sheet, wrangling speakers or watching the clock. I’ll work closely with your venue, photographer, DJ or band to keep everything flowing, bringing energy, warmth and a relaxed sense of fun, while staying flexible when the unexpected happens.​

Have I done this before?

Yes, I've MC weddings, in fact before becoming a marriage celebrant, I worked in event coordination where I MC those events, and at regional music festivals, dance events and Celebration of Life. The attention to detail, clear communication and good timing are everything, and knowing how to manage the moving parts, engage an audience and think on my feet when plans change.​

As a celebrant, I’ve taken those skills a step further. I know how to read a room and create the right atmosphere without making myself the centre of attention. I’ll make sure it runs like a well-oiled hive, you get to enjoy your reception. ​​​

Fee: $850

I’ll take care of the flow of your reception.​

Inclusions:

• Reception planning meeting

• Creation and coordination of your reception run sheet (google sheet shared)

• Liaison with your venue and wedding vendors (DJ, photographer, planner)

• Final meeting, either in person or online.

• Welcoming guests and setting the tone

• Professional introductions throughout the evening

• Coordination of speeches and formalities

• Guidance through key reception moments

• Keeping your reception running smoothly and on time

• A relaxed, engaging and professional presence until all formalities are complete

 

Venues: I only MC at managed venues, not private properties with no security.

Duration: This includes 5 hours, timed from 1 hour after the ceremony (I take a break, eat, change of outfit). Generally I finish after the cake cutting and the dance floor has started.

Travel fees: Final meeting in person may incur any additional travel fees. To be discussed.

​

Additional costs: For accommodation for 2 hour destination wedding+MC. Fee discussed.
